Why Do Your Customers Buy From You?  Why Knowing Really Matters!     (1 to 2 hrs*) 

You have customers.  They buy from you.  This increases your revenue and profitability.  But why do they buy from you?  Does WHY they buy from you really matter?  If you want to continue increasing your revenue and profitability it does!

What motivates your customers to buy from you rather than your competition?  Knowing their reasons helps you focus and grow; not knowing their reasons leaves you wandering in the dark.  Knowing their reasons improves the close rate of your salespeople; not knowing them leaves your sales line dependent on the hope that you’ll close a certain percentage of the sales calls made.

So what makes your company’s offering unique?  Hint:  it’s usually NOT your people.  Come to the presentation and we’ll work on it together!

Win or Lose?  30 Seconds Will Choose!     (45 mins to 2 hrs*) 

You’ve got just 30 seconds to earn your prospect’s attention or you’re likely to get a “no thank you, I’m not interested”.  In this workshop you will learn what to say to gain your prospect’s interest in that initial 30 seconds so they will want to learn more about what you have to offer.  You will learn to effectively convey what business you are in, how your offering will benefit the prospect, and what sets your business apart from your competition.

How Can Having a “Target Market” Increase My Profitability?     (1 to 2 hrs*) 

“Target markets”, “niche markets”, “target audiences” – you’ve heard the terms, but did you know that having one (or more) specifically defined target markets will increase your profitability?  That’s right – limiting your focus will increase your profitability.  By focusing your sales and marketing dollars on those potential prospects who 1) are more likely to buy from you and 2) will turn into your higher profitability customers you will ultimately make more profit than if you tried to be everything to everybody!  That’s what target marketing does.

This interactive presentation will help you start to figure out the physical and mental characteristics of your best customers so you can find and acquire more just like them!

What’s the Point in “Strategic Marketing”?  Isn’t Having a Brochure Enough?     (1 hr*) 

Have you ever spent money on “marketing” to increase your profitability and been disappointed with minimal results?  It could be because the person you hired knew all about how to make a website or brochure or mailing look good but little about figuring out the correct message for your prospects.  It would be the same as putting together a terrific PowerPoint presentation with lots of graphics, pictures, and music for a Science class and filling it with facts and information about World War II!  Yes, it looks great but you’re still going to get an “F” from your teacher!

Strategic marketing helps you write the text for your “PowerPoint”.  It helps you identify your audience, what they are interested in, and how they want to be spoken to.  It’s learning to speak Science to the Science geeks and History to the History buffs.
